At K. Raheja Realty, we believe in integrating social and environmental concerns in our business operations in order to fulfil our civic duties. We aim to optimise our positive social and environmental footprint on the world.
While a few of our smaller initiatives include working with partners who follow ethical business practices and promoting equal opportunities for men and women at the executive levels within our organisation, our core focus remains in education, medicine and environmental sustainability.

Parks and Gardens:
Communities are always looking for outdoor spaces that are beautiful and sustainable. Our parks preserve natural resources and promote quality of life for the people living around. We use native plants, organic compost and recycling bins to promote sustainability. A few of the parks and gardens we run include the Sheila Raheja Udyan garden and the Wadia Garden Landscape.

Sewage Treatment Plant:
In order to develop sustainable wastewater treatment, we use a multidisciplinary approach to optimise water utilisation recycling. Our STP system uses internet of things technologies to constantly monitor and improve environmental indicators from the sewage treatment plants.
Rain water harvesting:
We incorporate the rain water harvesting system in our properties. Thereby, we reduce our demand on the main water supply of the city which incrementally reduces local supply problems and reduces the energy used for water treatment and transportation.
Water bottling plant
Our hotel, The Conrad Pune, is proud to announce its landmark initiative with the instillation of the hotels in-house water bottling plant- a first in the city! This initiative is in efforts to lower the carbon footprint for a sustainable future. We have eliminated single use plastic bottles and now offer bottles of purified alkaline drinking water.
Sourcing and supporting local and clean
The Conrad Pune grows some of its produce in-house using certain food waste from the hotel as well as organic compost. We also source most of the vegetables used in our restaurants from local farmers using drip irrigation and organic and natural fertilisers.
